Resilience and Emotional Intelligence

In challenging times, the need for increased resilience and self-leadership in the workplace is paramount. Strengthening resilience enables us to harness our emotional intelligence, bounce back from adversity, deal with difficult situations and stress more effectively and respond to change more flexibly. Building self-leadership enables us to take personal responsibility and self-actualise our own growth to support us in being more effective both inside and outside of the workplace. This enables us to access resources for having difficult conversations, using assertive language skills, defusing conflict behaviour, building strong rapport and managing change more effectively.

Inspyr offers a core building resilience program from which a number of other specific programs are available to meet specific client needs.

Building Resilience in Individuals and in the Workplace - "To strengthen emotional intelligence and self-leadership and respond more flexibly to change."

Business MeetingThis is a practical program covering eleven core components of resilience based on the modelling of resilient people from a neuro-semantics perspective. Our full two day program takes participants into the neuro-semantic patterns behind resilience as well as covering practical applications of these patterns in the workplace. This program can also be delivered in a modular format to meet the specific needs of clients, for example, via a series of four workshops with a period of time between each workshop to enable participants to apply and embed the learnings. Or you may request us to deliver a customised program featuring several components of resilience to meet your specific requirements.

From our Building Resilience program we are able to select modules to use in customised training to support your people in the following areas:

Developing skills to have difficult conversations, defuse conflict behaviour and give and receive feedback more effectively: the effective use of language is a key aspect of resilience and hence our ability to communicate effectively. Additionally our ability to become un-insult-able is critical in handling criticism and accepting feedback.

Building flexibility to respond more effectively to change: harnessing some of the key aspects of resilience and understanding the process of change can support us in developing stronger meanings to support us in responding more effectively to change.

Developing a productive relationship with time: traditionally we attempt to cope with limited time by focusing on what we are doing. What is more critical is the quality of our relationship with time. Applying some key aspects of resilience can support us in being more resourceful with our time. Please note this is more than a time management course.

"Inspyr's neuro-semantics resilience training can be applied to the whole organisation as well as to individuals. I left feeling empowered with a range of tools that I can utilise on a daily basis." Ange Kerr, Facilitator, Disability Services Queensland
